GAM Communication Services, as being one of the major system integrator in the Egyptian market, performed several similar turn key projects including Servers, LAN and WAN solutions.

Sample of Turn Key Projects:

1- Telecom Egypt Frame Relay Network:

This project is based on using Newbridge equipment to implement the solution; the solution is based on using E3 links between the exchanges to act as an ATM backbone. The connection is based on having a total of 4 nodes located at Ramsis, Roda, Alex and Suez.
The switches installed at the main nodes are connected using ATM protocols over E3 links; they give Frame Relay E1 ports to small access nodes giving nx64K speed to the subscribers. This network also carries the old Alcatel X.25 and the JNA on redundant links for all the switches, controllers and ports.


2- Ghabbour Egypt (RGI):
              
This network consists of an Gigabit Ethernet (Nortel Accel -1200) backbone switch serving 6 buildings and each building is connected to the main switch using Fiber Optic single mode giving 1000 mbps to each work group switch.


3- Egyptian Universities Network (EUN/FRCU):
          
The nature of the network is to serve the whole higher education institution in Egypt. Based on open bidding, EUN selected GAM to provide two components of the network; the Unix servers and the migration of the old servers, in addition to the core networking mutltiplexers that serves the international backbone link of the EUN.

4- Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC)

This Project is based on state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and installing reliable, wire-speed Foundry Networks BigIron Layer 3switches to power the network core. The solution consists of two BigIron L3 backbone switches connected together as full redundancy and nine Fast Edge Iron switches connected to both of the core switches with speed of 1000 mbps through multimode fiber optic cables. This solution not only provides to EMPC a foundation for existing applications, but will embrace new applications without costly upgrades or replacement.

5- Faculty of Engineering (Cairo University)

This project has been implemented to improve the Internet Labs infrastructure at the medicine Engineering division of the faculty. We installed 130 data nodes distributed among 3 labs with their Ethernet switches connected to 3 com fiber backbone switch.

We also provided the faculty with the latest proxy solution from Blue Coat Systems to control Web Communications. Blue Coat Proxy SG appliances integrate advanced proxy functionality with security services such as content filtering, instant messaging control and web virus scanning without impacting network performance.

6-Arabella Country Club Project:

Arabella which is one of the most luxurious private compounds in the new Cairo district has chosen GAM Communication Services to implement a complete solution in terms of wired and wireless coverage for its country club as well as providing a turn key system for the point of sales outlets with its related billing system. The project was designed to be implemented at the edge of the art. In cooperation with Squirrel International –the leading innovated Company in the touch screen P.O.S. GAM has provided the best design that fits the club mission critical operation.

7- The Egyptian High Court Project:

As the Governmental Sections in Egypt is shifting towards the electronic phase, a strategic Project was assigned to GAM Communication Services to renovate the regular paper work cycle -in the Egyptian High Court- to a fully automated computerized based schema. Such a turn key project extended to include the establishment of a powerful infrastructure cabling solution which will act as a backbone for the automation work. Therefore, GAM has implemented this networking solution as well as providing all the required hardware in terms of computers, network printers and servers in order to shoot the best performance as planed in our approved overall solution for this project. GAM has also planed, provided, installed and operated the communication platform that let the court at the edge of modern communication and web enabled method of access, such project will remain a shiny mile stone for our professional achievements among our list of reference.
